I suppose that if the rule was that you could not leave WH space then it would indeed be very difficult. But innominate was allowed into low sec when the need arose and so our intrepid explorer could perhaps do the same.

I hadn't thought about that. It would certainly make it more of a challenge. Either you would need to somehow trade with the WH dwellers or keep dropping back into null/low sec for supplies. I reckon it could be done though, although I'm not sure ...
